The situation
Citizens 7 came to us with a citywide Day of Caring concept, no brand, no website, and a goal of 777 volunteers across 20 to 30 rally points around Indianapolis. They needed a recruitment system that could mobilize fast and let organizers see who was signing up where in real time.
What we built
A brand identity from scratch, a single-page Next.js landing site at indystreetsweep.com, and an interactive Indianapolis heat map that lights up rally points as volunteers register. A streamlined signup flow lets volunteers and site leaders pick a location, register their group, and trigger automated confirmations. Everything writes back to a single Google Sheet wired through Zapier so the admin team can run the event without touching the codebase.
Stack
How it runs
Volunteers sign up on the site. The heat map updates with each registration so organizers can see where the gaps are. Confirmations and reminders fire through Zapier-driven email flows. The whole stack is light enough that the Citizens 7 team can manage the event end to end without a developer.
Outcomes
777 volunteers mobilized across 20 to 30 rally points. The site became the central hub for the entire event: registration, location assignment, real-time progress, and post-event communication. The heat map turned recruitment into a visual moment, with the city lighting up as commitments rolled in.
